For my Photoshop class, our final project was to create a website that linked to all of the projects that I worked on that term. The website had to include an button for each project, a corresponding hover button, accessible text links, and a logo that included my name and the name of the course. The Vector Shape tools were required to create the buttons and logo, but the logo could include bitmap images. I styled the buttons and logo with effects like drop shadows, inner shadows, glows, bevel and emboss.

I came up with the beach theme by playing around with the foot vector shape. When I added texture to the foot it reminded me of a foot print in the sand. If you have a beach theme, you gotta have fish buttons! The buttons were surprisingly easy to make. I grabbed the fish vector shape, styled it with glow and color and added a layer of text. For the hover button I tilted the fish down a little so when you hovered, the fish looked like it was nodding. After making the first main and hover button, I made 8 different text layers for each project saving the image of each text layer over the same button.

The background image used for the header is a beach themed wallpaper from webneel.com.
